Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400
When: Sunday, July 5th, 2020
Where: Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Speedway, Indiana
Betting Odds: Lines&Odds

It will be a busy weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and will conclude with Sunday’s Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400. This race marks the 27th time the famous “Brickyard” speedway has hosted a Cup Series event. The 2.5-mile, 100+ year old track is a rectangle oval track with 9.2 degrees of banking in the turns. Drivers will go 160 laps for a total of 400 miles. Kevin Harvick is the +350 favorite this week.

Harvick and Denny Hamlin dominated last weekend at Pocono, splitting the two series races, while each finishing runner-up while the other was winning. Hamlin is right behind Harvick on the odds board at +425.

Harvick has six straight top-eight finishes at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and leads all drivers this season with 14 top-10 finishes. He is also the defending champion entering this event claiming first place (Big Machine Vodka 400) last September. Brad Keselowski is the 2018 winner here at the Brickyard and is +800.

Jimmie Johnson was to make his final Indy start this weekend, but has tested positive for the Coronavirus and will not participate. He was looking to tie Jeff Gordon for the most Indy wins at five.

The green flag drops at approximately 4:00 p.m. ET.

Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400:

Big Machine Hand Sanitizer 400 Pick
Harvick is the odds-on favorite, but I’m looking for a little bit better payout. Joey Logano has never won at Indianapolis Speedway, but he’s come close. He has four top 5s and seven top 10s in 11 career Brickyard races. His 10.91 career average finish there is second only to Harvick. I’ll take Logano at +700.
