The Milwaukee Bucks wrap-up a four-game Western swing when they visit the surging Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night at Moda Center. The Bucks have been a little inconsistent lately, but put it all together with a 112-87 win at Sacramento on Tuesday. Milwaukee needed overtime to escape the lowly Phoenix Suns to begin the trip and stumbled through a 121-108 loss at Utah on Saturday before handling the Kings. The Bucks, who are three games behind Detroit and Cleveland in the Central Division, have a chance at a winning road trip before heading home. The Trail Blazers are coming off a long Eastern road trip and have won seven of their last nine after taking the final three stops of a five-game trek. Milwaukee took the last three in the series, including a 113-110 home win on October 21st behind 44 points from star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Milwaukee’s offense revolves solely around Antetokounmpo, who leads the team in points (29.7), assists (4.4), rebounds (10.2), field goal percentage (55.8), steals (1.7), and blocks (1.7). But, the rest of the offense came together around him on Tuesday, handing out 27 assists on 42 made field goals, while shooting 59.2% from the floor in the win over Sacramento. Point guard Eric Bledsoe had 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting and is averaging 23 points over his last three games to raise his season mark to 15.8. The bench contributed 29 points as Malcolm Brogdon led the way with 9 points, 6 boards, and 5 assists. The Bucks will get the Kings again in their next game – Saturday night.

The home team has won 7 of the last 8 meetings.

Portland inserted shooting guard Pat Connaughton into the starting lineup at Brooklyn last Friday and he’s gone 13-of-18 from the floor in three games as a starter – all Portland wins. Connaughton scored 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting in Monday’s win at the New York Knicks to mark his highest total since scoring 24 in the season opener at Phoenix. Power forward Noah Vonleh, who leads the team in rebounds per game (8.1), averaged 11.6 on the road trip. Portland is one of the best defensive teams in the league, ranking fourth in points allowed (98.8) and second in defensive field goal percentage (43.3). This begins a four-game homestand for the Blazers, who will host New Orleans on Saturday.

REDSKINS VS COWBOYS PREVIEW AND FREE PICK

Portland really had a nice road trip with the only loss coming at Philadelphia, and I think they carry that momentum back home and take care of the Bucks tonight.
