The betting line for this year’s SEC Championship game between the undefeated Auburn Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks opened up at -5 in favor of the Tigers at Bovada. The line then went off the board when word came out that Tigers QB Cam Newton might be ruled ineligible. Once he was cleared to go, the line went back up to it’s current position at -6. The total opened at 61 and has not moved. Right now, 64% of the betting public is on Auburn while 85% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Tigers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win.

Tigers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Gamecocks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog.

Gamecocks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.

Over is 4-1 in Tigers last 5 games as a favorite of 3.5-10.0.

Over is 5-2 in Tigers last 7 games overall.

Over is 6-1 in Gamecocks last 7 games following a S.U. win.

Over is 8-2 in Gamecocks last 10 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game.

My Prediction: Many think that Auburn will roll in this game and play for the BCS Championship, but despite 3 Conference loses, this South Carolina team is very good and has a strong enough defense to contain Newton. I like this to be a close game. Take the points.

South Carolina +6
