You won’t find many games like this in the early time slot on an NFL Sunday that involve two Super Bowl-contending teams, but that’s what we have this week. The San Francisco 49ers come across the country to face the seemingly unstoppable Baltimore Ravens in a Week 13 clash. San Fran’s top-ranked defense will have their hands full trying to slow Lamar Jackson and Co., who have won seven games in a row and outscored their last three opponents by a 135-26 margin. San Francisco rebounded from its lone loss to Seattle with back-to-back wins, including a 37-8 triumph over Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay on Sunday night. Baltimore made everyone aware of how good they are when they went to the L.A. Coliseum and destroyed the Rams 45-6 on Monday Night Football and have covered the spread in each of their past five games. These two non-conference foes do not have a rich history of playing against each other. In fact, it will mark just the second meeting between the teams since Baltimore edged San Francisco 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII. The last meeting was in 2015 when the 49ers beat the Ravens 25-20 in San Francisco. The 49ers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS win, but are a perfect 5-0 SU on the road this season.

The 49ers are in the middle of playing three Super Bowl contenders. Last week they took care of the Packers, this week they face the Ravens and next week the New Orleans Saints. The 49ers enter this game on a two-game winning streak and welcomed back back Tight End George Kittle last week. Kittle caught six passes for 129 yards and a touchdown on Sunday after returning to the field after missing the two previous games because of injury. Joe Staley, Dee Ford, Matt Brieda and Robbie Gould, who all missed last week’s game have been upgraded to game-time decisions for this matchup with the Ravens. The 49ers are second in the NFL in rushing the football, but an incredible 64.9 yards less than the Ravens per game. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has recorded a passer rating of at least 111.2 in four of his last five games with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions during that span. San Francisco ranks No. 1 in overall defense (248.0), passing yards (136.9) and sacks (44.0), with ends Arik Armstead and rookie Nick Bosa recording 18 of those.

Jackson, who is almost a lock to the NFL MVP, became the first player to have five passing touchdowns in his Monday Night Football debut (50 years) last week against the Rams in Los Angeles. He is tied for the NFL lead in touchdown passes with Russell Wilson at 24, while also ranking a remarkable ninth in rushing yards with 876. Jackson is only 164 yards away from breaking the season record of most rushing yards by a Quarterback, set by Michael Vick back in 2006. The Ravens team rush attack is ranked number one in the NFL with 2316 yards for an average of 210.5 yards per game. Mark Ingram surpassed 100 yards on the ground for the fourth time last week and has 12 touchdowns (nine rushing), while tight end Mark Andrews and rookie Marquise Brown each have six scoring receptions. The Ravens rank third versus the run (87.7 yards per game) in the league and fifth in points allowed (18.4).

The 49ers have a very good defense, but I don’t think anyone can stop this freight train in the Ravens. Jackson has been playing out of his mind and opposing defenses have no answer for him. The Ravens also have a good defense that will cause nightmares for Garoppolo.
